Oh, great to hear!  Is there a particular learning style that this course specificially helped you master?

It is such a challenge to keep students involved and for them to see true value for the time they spend in class.  Being able to create an active learning environment is key.  It is no wonder that childrens museums that include active learning are so successful.  But, it takes a creative instructor who can develop the skills to provide an active learning environment for their class.  These people will be seen as the best instructors by students and will be in demand by educational institutions. 

I think your comments are spot on. it is definitely a challenge to keep students inspired and motivated in the classroom every day. But it has everything to do with how motivated the instructor is. Poor preparation or lack of motivation is clearly evident to students and I do not see how some instructors do not correlate the two. I think we all have moments of stress and burnout but it's how we approach it and reinvent our class that makes you a truly active instrucotr. I hope each day that students leave my class feeling they have learned something new and are excited to come to class the next day. I am always looking for new ways to implement activities in my lcass. i have a great group of fellow employees that make suggestions to me all the time. I feel we wrok well togethr to create a good outcome for our students. The teachers I work with are passionate and innovative. I learn from them quite often and only hope that from time to time I have given some good ideas as well
