There are two different points in your interaction with a student with a disability when it may be appropriate for you to seek help.

Section 504 and the ADA demand equal opportunity for people with disabilities. Because it neither focuses on nor benefits only those with disabilities, UD embodies the intent of the federal laws.

It is important to recognize that their behavior can be a manifestation of their disability. Students with ASD may sometimes interrupt class discussions with questions that seem off-topic or have difficulties interacting with peers in social situations on campus.

Educating students about how to acquire accommodations related to a disability, institutions have an obligation to make students aware of policies and procedures designed to protect them from discrimination and harassment.

What we do in the admissions office starts students on their paths and sets the foundation for an environment of trust and support.

all of our responsibility to present information accurately, clearly and fully regarding our institutions.

School must not exaggerate attributes of its programs and services, its employees must avoid making inappropriate, derogatory remarks about competing institutions. This violates competitive integrity.

Your representation must be supported by the facts, and it must be expressed as your opinion.

Every disclosure a school provides virtually - and every representation a staff or faculty member makes online - must be fully transparent, accurate, complete and documentable.

I have learned for graduates to be successfully hired or “placed in field” in certain programs, they must hold the appropriate certification or license. Therefore, the school must also attain the requisite program accreditation.
