Creating an effective presentation that is informative, and engaging helps create a rapport built on trust and though an in-person setting is most desired, in these days, conversations are mostly done via phone but can still be presented in an exhilarating manner if phone skills are applied.
Understanding the challenges a student may present allows you to know where we can potentially fit in and create a solution for them that can impact their decisions to move forward with us in a positive yet powerful light. Common reasons a prospect will not move forward in their education is due to fears of the unknowns. But if we can help them navigate and face those fears with facts, resources and educating them, we can help the percentage of those that go MIA decrease dramatically.
I learned that there are several key factors when building a strong rapport with students during your presentation in making the attempt to ensure value is built based upon the wants/needs of the student.
The idea is to find what the prospect's wants and needs are so that in understanding what is important to them, we can build a value proposition that is unique to their situation.
