Review is an important daily tool to help the students be learners. This gives the instructor a chance to recap all of the important information and tasks discussed that day. It also gives the students a forum at the end of the day for course content and relevance feedback. We usually spend 15 minutes to 45 minutes a day performing some type of review.

I will use key words & tell students they need to remember them . before a test they are given study time to research the key words

at the start of class i ask the class how did there studying go and if there wore any questions and this will start the review if there are no questions i will ask questions, i will take about 30 min on this

I typicaly review after each subject or at least summerize the topic. at the end of the day i go over what we talked about or performed in the lab. we no longer review before each test but i encourage the studnets to go thru their book to refresh what we talked about.

After each lecture I review with the students to see how much they retained. I also review before the exam.

Hi Bernie,
This is a great way to help students review plus they can see what they need to work on when it comes to the final exam. This should help them to target their study efforts when they are getting ready to take the final exam.

Since I teach IT and it has a lot of certifications needed, I've started incorporating a huge practice test as a review for the final exam. It helps review the information as well as preping them for their certification tests.

Ido a question and answer review,my classes are 6 hrs long.I give them 30 minutes to study, ask questions, ect before the test.If they pay attention in class, sometimes they do not want study time.We go right into the test.

I usually review not just so students can pass a test, but review important points that they should definitely know. By reviewing key points they are able to better retain what they learned.

Hi Steve,
My reviews can be Q&A sessions, students writing down the three most important things we covered in class, or case studies where they use the material we have covered. With each activity they are reviewing what we have covered. I use these reviews throughout the class so they aren't very long. Generally 5-10 minutes. My class runs for 6 hours from 4 until 10 pm so I change the pace of the class frequently to keep the attention of the students. The review sessions are well received by the students because they like to practice using their newly acquired knowledge and/or skills plus they like the variety.
