Motivating Your Students
If you motivat your students and have a good time in class and lab. I tell all my students to have a god time as long as they do there workand keep it Professional in class.
I really think that if students, like you say, have a good time in class or feel relaxed and not all stressed out, then this makes them more receptive to learning. In fact I think there are studies on this.
I think there is a finline of having a goodtime in class and makign sure that they have respect for you.

Right you are. I like for my students to have a good time in class but in such a way the setting is always professional and forward focused in terms of learning.

I keep the same motto as long as you are working hard and getting stuff done there is no reason why you can't have fun.
