I've learned the 10 commandments as well as what truly makes a good call. Which is a call that is made with clear communication on both sides of the call. 

Smile and Dial...love this

It is important to know that not being in the right environment often affects the phone sales calls by making it hard to focus on the conversation. We need to strive to create a distraction-free environment.

practicing and smiling through the phone will make calls a breeze.

I learned that putting a mirror in front of yourself during calls is a realistic and sensible thing to do!

I'll always remember to smile, even for phone calls!

Be prepared to be in the right environment, distraction-free. This will help focus on the customer and ask the right questions.

Place a mirror in front of you, make sure your dressed professionally and not leaning back in the chair with your feet up. Being in this position will dilute the confidence of the phone call. Make sure your environment is free of distraction so that the student gets your undivided attention.

Environment, state of mind and posture are important elements to consider during the course of a phone interaction.  

I have learned lots of ways to connect to students for better rapport and to make conversations flow to the answers that are needed to assist with enrollment journey 

It is important to manage your calls and make a loose script for yourself. Having all of your tools ready and reminding yourself of the 10 commandments of prospecting can help you to be more successful.

Aside of taking calls (inbound), we should also practice our skills by trying to call prospect clients. By preparing and making routine on how we do outbound calls will improve our communication skills.

Small things have big impacts. Remember to smile and be positive can have major impact in the results. 

How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice. Develop your call outline, practice your script, and do it again and again until it becomes natural to you. Then get on the phone, smile, and start dialing.
