Faculty Involvement
I think this is vary important that the students get introduced to the instructors so they get a view of him so they know what he look like
Not just the instructors but other instructors who have tought the students
There is a challenge in our campus. During any given Orientation, there are classes going on. The faculty can't be in 2 places at once. Any suggestions?

Perhaps there are one or two who could pop in for a brief 'hello'...perhaps not teaching at that time? Regardless, getting your director of instruction to represent the faculty would be good. Some representation from that side of the house does wonders for the students.

Our campus has the same problem. My thought on this is have a floater during orientation that can spell the instructor for 5 - 15 minutes so that the instructor can pop in and say hi. I know that any class can be given a 5 - 15 minute assignment to do; even if it is just to work on homework. Orientation does not take place so often that this would become a major problem...at least not at our campus.
Yes...maybe a few professors at each orientation..not everyone knows who their professors will be , but having a few at each will give them a sense of the faculty and backgrounds, etc..without some faculty participation it seems the orientation would be missing something.
