This actually gave me some new ideas of things to try. I have been feeling burn out in one of my jobs, but I think I just need to change my attitude, and focus when I am there. I need to compartmentalize my jobs, and not let them cross paths with each other. Keep them separated so they don't overwhemlm me, and continue to set time aside for myself and my family. I would like to pick up a new interest or hobby as well.
This really helped me understand that we have two kinds of stress, we have positive stress and negative stress. Without possitive stress we would not be able to continue and have motivation. If you feel like you are about to burn out try new things, change careers or try something new. Like take up a new sport or activity. Great things learned from the tutorial.
This had a lot of great reminders for me about the stresses that a boss has and to be mindful of those stresses. When problems arise do what you can to help minimize the situation before going to the boss. Bosses appreciate creative problem solvers! I learned that it is just as importnant to be a good follower as it is to be a good leader. know when to step up and take the lead and then be willing to step back down.
Most of us dread formal training because it can seem like a waste of time, it can be boring, or because we simply don't like change. What I loved about this tutorial is that it addressed all those things. The biggest thing was learning how to motivate the trainee to want to change. We need to give positive reinforcement and make sure the trainee knows there will be a payoff!

I liked this tutorial becase it reminds me that I need to step back and not let the things that I can not control control me, which I think that I tend to do from time to time. I was at the high end of the scale on the self stress test, which tells me that I still need to work on bringing my stress level down.
I liked this tutorial because it is a good reminder that I need to periodically stop and give myself a self assessment to make sure that I am doing everything to the best of my ability and that I can translate those practices on to my students.
I need to take a closer look at my stress management techniques. Also need to learn to say No sometimes.
This actually felt beneficial. It included concepts with citations for further research, and I found it quite interesting.
I found it short enough to not feel like just another training session we have to complete, and interesting enough to keep me actually reading.
take control of your class get them to understand whats going on with the lesson plans
I took this course becasue I wanted to start at the beginning and found it to be a good reminder of principles that are practiced in my workplace. While I don't think I learned anything specifically new, I did appreciated the questions around what to do when I am unsure if a decision is ethical or not. Sometimes it feels very grey and can be hard to judge. The questions offered will be helpful to bring clarity. So, I guess I did learn something! Thanks!!
Famous words by Douglas Adams.
Yes I scored high on this assessment, but for good reasons. And I know its only temporary.
Optimism and resiliance are keys to adapting and dealing with stress.

Hi, I think the course is very good, because we learned how to handle the crisis, from identification, to how to resolve conflicts.
After doing this seminar I have leaned to work on myself and to see the bigger picture. I should always keep goals in mind and to make sure I am the best employee I can be for my school, staff, students, and myself. It is important to take a step back and assess yourself to see if you the best fit at the position
I chose to do this tutorial because I feel like I could manage my stress better and I know the cosmetology field can result in burn out very easily. There were some good tips that help distinguish burn out. It can happen to anyone and it is important to manage stress before it gets to that point.
This is my favorite tutorial I have taken so far! I loved it! I learned a lot about honestly assessing myself. There are always ares to improve and I thought the information was helpful. I especially liked the portion about supervisors setting the tone for the rest of the employees/students. It reminded me to always present myself in a positive way. This example alone can help contribute to a positive work place.
It is all about attitude and how you portray yourself and how others perceive you. No one is perfect but a good working relationship among co-workers is the first step towards a better working environment.
A few simple key issues to be addressed and implemented are;
A good communications network
A better understanding of one another
Transparency with accounting
