Lead by Example

The lesson reiterated what I have seen in the good leaders I have encountered in my life. It is a very powerful behavior -  to act how you would like to be treated.

Positive practice

I took from this to show a more positive practice at work (be on time, have a good attitude, analyze problems thoroughly) and to set Specific goals to better improve self at work.

Wisdom

Put yourself and your family first.  A job will never love you.

The importance of formal training

I learned that formal training is important, that employees need encouragement to complete the formal training and apply what they learned in formal training.

Getting to know your boss

I learned that my boss has same feelings like the rest and that respect is better then always being right. I learned that patience pays off. This acitivity helped me view my boss's perpective, that my boss has a lot on her plate everyday and it is not possible to always be perfect.  Much Grace is needed.

ON LINE COURSE STUDY

I learned that ethical behaviors in the work place are important and that the behaviors of each employee has an impact on others not  just the individual employee.

Be ethical to yourself before being ethical to others

Be ethical to yourself before being ethical to others

Adjust your behavior

I learned that one must adjust and adapt to their bosses style of management and look at it as a learning experience on your way to success rather than being negative. Take initiative.

Role Modelling

We must be the change that we would like to see in others. To be change champions we must lead by example.

Our behaviour is quickly emulated by those around us.

Stress

One thing I learned in that stressed can be managed when it seems like to much. And also stress can push you which can help you grow as a professional and a person.

Differentiaite between Stress and Burnout

Often times we mistake in understanding what is a stress situation and what is a burnout phase. The online course helped me understand these two better.

What I learned in this lesson

I learned different strategies given to me by answering questions on how to properly manage a business and being an  example for the employees.

What I learned

I learned that setting high standards and gols for yourself can make an impact on others. Also setting specific goals in areas that you are not to strong in can help strengthen areas of weakness.

Stress

The only stressful thing about this training was the stress quiz, man talk about a stressor. I was trying to be honest, it was just... well stressful.

Personal goals

I didnt realize, that personal goals needed to be as specific as they had listed them. I persononally need to be better at setting more specific goals. I also need to be better at leading by example.

Lead by example

Employees and co-workers look for a reasons to do the right thing.

What did I learn?

I learned about ethical and unetical procedures.

Lack of "sometimes"

I think this was a good article but the quiz didnt give an option for sometimes. We all have our good and bad days, and I think the profile should reflect that.

Always room for improvement

I think it is best to have confidence but to also know that there is always room for improvement. Even when you think that youre doing your best job, there is always more learning and training that can be done. Confidence is good but humility is as well.

Reflection

I think it is best to set the example you want others to fullow.  Be organized and attentive to you employees
