Course Module

As someone that has been with my company for a while most of this information I was already familar with. I can see benefits to some new employees though. I stay on top of new programs being implemented by my school and how they effect my job.

Notebook

As a new employee to admissions, the notebook idea was a great idea, and to check and change as appropriate

Good to know about OHIO

I believe the information was good but as an employee of a couple of years now I was fully trained on all the policies of my school.  I do go out of my way to update my self with new information about the school as well to refresh on our programs and the curriculum.  I do represent an out-of-state school and it is good to learn of the nearby states and their policies as states do differ in the regulations.  Thank you for the opportunity to learn of Ohio's guidelines it will be helpful when I am in that state… >>>

Good Information

This course was very beneficial.  I appreciate the care that is being excercised with protecting and ensuring Ohio students receive the best information and care as they transition to higher education.  For an online training ... I think it was well organized and presented will.  The constants emails however does get a little burdensome.

Effective Discussions

The material that was presented here was done so in a very clear and undrestandable manner, although I have to admit that I don't find these discussion boards all that useful. In an ideal world, the concept works but my email is flooded with hollow responses that are not helping to tease out ideas or further our understanding of the concepts.

Training from each state

It' great to know that the state of Ohio has enough concern to make sure the the representatives of educational institutions that are offered there are trained in what a student needs to know in order to get an education. I'm sure other states in the union that have eductional opportunities want to ensure that the concerns and stipulations are addressed but they have not put together such a comprehensive training curriculum that I am aware of. Thank you for helping us be up to date as per your regulations and reminding us of our responsibilities.

GO OHIO!!!

I look at this training as a foundation for that way that we discuss higher education in all states. All of our students have the right to know! These ethics, this knowledge, that was shared should be in practice when we talk to everyone, not just Ohio residence. Continue to stay up to date and continue to inform your students. They will be better students because of it.

This training was well put together. a great tool for future trainings and development.

This was great

This training was very valuable and helped me learn the regulations I have to follow while enrolling students in Ohio.

Effective learning requires repetition

Although my university did a very complete job of covering all these subjects already in print form and also in various trainings that have spanned an estimated 6-7 hours, there is no way that all the information and skills that are required to do an excellent and professional job serving potential students as an admissions officer can be fully developed with just a handful of trainings and a few resource books.  The more trainings that are experienced, the better, and the more repetition that occurs the greater the recall and mastery.

Responsibility

This was a relevant course, and I liked the user friendly format. Education is heavily regulated, but it's for good reason. With the investment of time and money that people dedicate to education it makes sense that admissions officers be aware of their responsibility to relay accurate information.

Very helpful and very relevant...

Success is not what you do but what you do daily and knowledge is only power when it is acted upon.  This was a wonderful refresher as well as an opportunity to finely tune my compliance and my abilities to serve potential students.  Overall this was a great training.

The Ohio traning was very efficient and valuable to my career

This training module was clear, concise and very informative. I have learned more about my responsibilities as an admission officer that can assist me with the future endeavors of enrolling new students in compliance with the state and its rules and requirements. This knowledge enables me to understand my role as a professional in the education industry.

Glad I took the Training

There’s is so much to learn in each state I'm glad now at least in one state I have a centralized location that gets updated constantly.

Perfect Timing!

As a new Agent/Admissions Officer, taking this training was great timing.  This will certainly help me set my foundation practices in the right way.  These ideas, principles, strategies, etc., are great guidelines to follow for all students.  Being knowledgeable and informing the student in a full-disclosure manner is the way to do it!

New admissions rep glad that I completed the program

For the past 3 weeks, I have been training in house with our entire admissions staff and I have learned a great deal of information. This program not only help to connect the dots on many areas but also provide a background as to why we do what we do. I am thankful to be part of a program that is very conscentious of ethics and morals and takes their training very seriously. I too have a checklist to follow and still have a few more days of training to go through. I definitely feel confident to present the right… >>>

Rules and regulations

It is about having the applicants best interest at heart. Know your applicant, your product, and maintain high values and ethics and the rules and regulations come easy.

Owner

This is a great tool for learning!

Good Information!

There was plenty of valuable information in the training. After accepting the position I thoroughly reviewed OACCS website so much of what I read was simply reinforcing what my I learned on my own and what my current school has drilled in me. I can honestly say that the school I work at make sure we are aware of the regulations.

Great Program

I just completed the training modules! I really enjoyed the format, as there is so much to learn. It is interesting to learn how often things change in education, policies and procedures, etc. I have taken the advice of the training and have begun putting together a binder with all of the necessary information. I am using the checklists from the modules as a sort of guide.
