Visual aids are imperative when presenting value to a prospective student, it makes room for more engaging conversation and allows the prospect to gain all knowledge of institute during the intitial tour or meeting. Following up and checking in with prospect is also imperative to ensure all prospects know that our values and misson are for the greater good of the institute.
I learned that there are several key factors when building a strong rapport with students during your presentation in making the attempt to ensure value is built based upon the wants/needs of the student.
Presenting value to the prospective student should be the priority for every Admission official
I learned about the different ways to prepare for an interview. The value presentation framework is very helpful to prepare oneself. I intend to use the framework worksheet in order to prepare myself.
I will keep an eye out for points-of-difference between my institution and competitors to create more value proposition for out potential students.
In this course I learned that engaging with the prospective student, checking-in and asking questions is just as important in addition to presenting values and what the institution has to offer for them. I can apply visuals and demonstrations to add onto their process.
It is extremely important to listen to the prospective student's interests, needs and questions. Making sure to check in with the prospective student during a presentation is very important as well.
It makes me considered crating a PowerPoint presentation for my school. Visual aids help prospective students to better gauge what it being said and connect.
Presenting Value is equally as important as knowing the value of the school/programs as well as the value needs of the student. My greatest takeaway is perfecting the art of presenting the value to everyone; most importantly from a perspective that they (the individual) would appreciate... value.
Implementing visual aids into your presentation helps with engaging the prospective student and also making sure to address both the student and whoever they may bring with them to the appointment. They can help in reassuring the student on their decision if they are also briefed on the value and benefits.
Getting to know your student and what is important to them can help you tailor your approach to the student in a way that addresses their needs.
I think understanding your product and the features and benefits are key for an Admissions Professional. We have to be so good at informing our prospective students that they have all of the information they need to make their decision to enroll.
Check-in questions are very helpful, and should be utilized throughout the admission's process with a student.

Understanding the value presentation and what is needed to complete it was very helpful.
Checking in throughout the admissions visit is crucial, especially to ensure the student is understanding the material and the parents are seeing value.
Overall I really liked the worksheets and the idea behind identifying benefits, whether it was the benefits of the company, or the benefits specifically tailored to the students. I also really liked the framework of the presentation. Presentations are great way to highlight and show off what your academy has to offer, but without a proper framework, your presentation may lack the proper value and benefits.
