It is very important that the advertising and communications for your institution is clear and honest so that there is no confusion or misrepresentation.
If a student asks a question that we are not 100% sure about, it's better to show them the school approved written document that has the answer. I will make sure to keep all resources handy for reference to student questions.
Never speak negatively about another institution and be cautious with social media content.
The state regulations was helpful. I also liked seeing how schools are able to use social media for advertising but still using honesty and accurate information for the school in social media is crucial.
As a general education faculty member, it is wise to not comment and/or defer any questions my students may have, outside of the content I teach, to the dean, program office, admissions office, etc.

I learned why college/university catalogs are so bulky. The information required by law is diverse and detailed. The reason for this is to ensure that the perspective/current student is transparency, integrity and honesty. When a student has a question about an area I have no knowledge of, I will refer them to the college catalog and a qualified staff member.
As a staff member of an institution, I've learned the importance of being mindful of the information we provide to students to avoid sharing misleading information. Additionally, it's crucial that we familiarize ourselves with federal regulations applicable to our institution.
