This module helped me understand that though my institution is regulated in many ways, it is unique. My institution likely has policies that make it different than other institutions, and it is my responsibility to be familiar with these policies in order to help students by providing them accurate, relevant, and necessary information.

I was interested to read about the rules in how schools can enroll veteran. I learned that they must be approved to do so and must be trained in specific requirements and needs of veterans, which is great to hear. I learned that there are specific guidelines such as reporting requirements and refund policies that can be specific to veterans as well, which is important to keep in mind when talking to students who may be veterans.

The code of ethics that must be followed by those in admissions/enrollment are plentiful, and we have an obligation to various organizations such as our accreditors, DOE, for FL the, CIE, and others, to provide our services with transparency and providing the student with the various resources needed for them to make an education decision.

In this module I learned that it is important to know the catalog and enrollment agreements to best answer students questions. I also learned that financial aid is only given to students who qualify and if I am not trained on financial aid I can not give students information on it.
I learned that each state has their own laws and regulatory practices. In addition, I now know there are specific regulations in order to work with veterans.
This is another reminder that the whole enrollment process involves so many variables. Schools must be organized for the multiple scenarios that can happen.
