For best results incorporate all 4 learning learning methods, visual, auditory, verbal and kinesthetic into a lecture. Be creative when creating assignments, tests and power points.
I have tried to use multiple learning styles but I like the idea of taking it a step further and having my students complete a learning style assessment. I think I might implement that.
Best practice is to assess the different learning styles with students and adjust accordingly. However, learning occurs best if you expose your students to all the different learning styles over time.

With all the learning styles, and the knowledge of those styles, one can customize a lecture or class to fit so that all participants can be engaged in the material and in the discussion that hopefully arises, to move the course and subject matter forward more naturally.
I intend to incorporate more of the group approach and having the students working in teams. This will enable them to learn from each other and discover the strengths and weaknesses within themselves and others relative to the teaching method.
