I can apply this when introducing myself to students online, I should include my academic credentials, professional achievements, and relevant experience. These elements are crucial for establishing credibility and context when teaching online classes.

It is important to maintain professionalism and to establish credibility through honest experience credentials.

The importance of projecting your presence to build a good relationship between the instructor and the students. and make the student trust and respect their teacher.

How important it is to post a bio and to have students post bios.

I have learned some important information for me to share with students to help with their engagement in the course.

It is best practice to build a good relationship with the students by posting a short bio of yourself and for students to post a short bio of themselves

By providing information about you as an instructor you may gain the trust and respect from the students. By sharing who you are and your expertise you are allowing the students to be more comfortable in a classroom setting with you and to trust you and what you are instructing.

I've taken many courses online as a student and I always enjoy when the instructor provides a little bio about themselves, including their occupation - if they have one other than being an instructor and their relative experience related to the course topic.

It's very important to actively work on building a relationship with your students. You have to be intentional and attentive in order to be successful at this. Let students know who you are as well as learning who they are and sharing expectations helps break the ice and get things going on a smooth start.

Engaging with students frequently is important because it makes the students feel supported.
