I am very grateful to have studied this module as it has reinforced the idea that social engagement and motivation are interconnected and are fundamental elements for successful learning, especially online. By integrating different strategies, educators can help students engage more deeply with the content and with their peers, resulting in more meaningful and lasting learning.

From this module, I have learned several key things about the importance of social engagement and motivation in the context of online education and how different aspects of course design and pedagogical strategies influence student engagement and motivation. Therefore, I hope to be able to apply these concepts, and thus be able to create more attractive and effective educational experiences that foster greater commitment and success among my students.

During this lesson i have now gain valuable tools to have my students being engage throughout my online courses. i understand having their attention is really important by doing so having videos, work sheets, and audio assignments will help them retain the lesson especially with different learning styles. Also sending out friendly reminders and keeping the communication open and making it a comfortable environment for the students to respond back.

I have been able to reinforced and expand my knowledge about strategies to achieve the emotional commitment of students through teamwork with other health professionals and patient. Empathy, the development of communication skills and responsibility, discipline and creativity are also essential factors.

This module has allowed me to reflect on how both social and motivational commitment are fundamental aspects to foster an effective and sustainable learning environment in online education. The interaction between students, the teacher-students and the administrative staff-students can make students feel more connected, which, in turn, increases their motivation. I learned how to integrate more group activities, forum discussions, and collaborative work among students not only improves social engagement, but also allows students to learn. from each other and feel part of a community, which will motivate them to become more involved in the course. I also learned that setting clear goals and providing a good structure for activities and assessments will help increase motivation by giving them a clear path to success. Make sure the Feedback is not just about mistakes, but also about achievements and areas where students are improving. This can be done quickly and constructively, helping students feel supported and motivated to move forward. In summary, this module has taught me how to combine different aspects of motivation and social engagement to create a more effective learning environment. and dynamic. So by applying these approaches, I hope to make students feel more involved and motivated, and to make their online learning experience more satisfying and successful.

This module has provided valuable insights into both social and motivational engagement and how they contribute to an effective learning environment. I have learned that fostering collaboration, interaction, and relevance in course content can significantly enhance student participation and overall learning outcomes.

I have learned that it is important to continuously help motivate students by keeping them engaged with short fun activities through out their busy life schedules.

Keeping engagement from students is very difficult on both face-to-face environment and online teaching. Being out of the students' company, makes it even more difficult. In this module we reviewed ways to get students engagement by developing activities that keep them busy and motivated. I think that effective and efficient feedback is a way to reward and motivate students even if they are doing things right. Is a way to reinforce their learning and identify areas of weakness before proceeding in the course. I know for prior experiences that maintaining feedback is a positive motivational way to engage students, but I still consider that I have not implemented it enough, especially for those assignments that are graded at the end of the course.

This was a great course and I learned wonderful ways to give my students constructive feedback and how group activities can improve student engagement.

This has been a good affirmation of some of the practices we use and additional ones that would be useful.  It was great to see some of these techniques were encouraged.  Giving constant feedback to students, motivation, affirmations and acknowledgement is important to keep students engaged.  The online environment can be effective but keeping assignments relevant to material is also important.

I have learned from this course what I need to improve on with engaging students in an online course.  I have identified what I am doing well already, but there are multiple methods that I can implement that will help with student engagement. I realize that I have to be more active in the weekly discussions.  While I don't have to reply to every student in a discussion post, I do need to reply to a few students each week.  I will focus on replying to students that no other student has replied to.

The other major area that needs improvement is the idea of Content Chunking in my courses.  I believe students are overwhelmed by the weekly module and the workload.  By breaking the module down into smaller sections, that content will feel more manageable to students.

I love this module! What a simple reminder to take what is done well in the in-person environment and make it alive in the online environment. A big takeaway for me is ACCESSIBILITY. It doesn't matter if we do all these cool thing in course design and engagement--but if the student can't get to it, can't understand it, doesn't see the value of it... it won't help the learner.

This module has been quite interesting.  Though the information does not seem too elaborated, it makes sense and appears to be easily incorporated.  The suggestions of content chunking and reaching the students in a variety of ways, are constructive ways of engaging online students that have parallel activities and little organized time to devote into their studies.  Social engagement seems also very appropiate to consider, since individuals are intrinsically motivated through meaningful relationships, established for with their peers and intstructor.

Because students are balancing work, home, school, and personal lives, I can offer reminders and announcements that help them stay motivated for their course and academic goals.

While i was familiar with many of the techniques covered in the videos for social and motivational engagement, I appreciated and learned from the detail and context covered. In particular it was helpful covering the nuances of motivational engagement and how that can be tailored to specific learning styles.

I feel quite good about the social engagement, but I feel like I need to focus more on the motivational aspect.

Context allowed me to see where I am excelling at.  It gave examples on how I need to curve the way I teach and get more students involved in the session.

This information is only confirmation of what I have experience, the expectation and increase resources to help me to be a better instructor. I will implement more related visuals for stimulation of learning.

I have been able to reflect on the engagement methods I am already using and create some additional strategies for motivation & engagement in my online. courses like EBP, Ethics & Legal, and Leadership. It is always beneficial to have some guided reflection on my current methods and areas for improvement.

It is important to understand that there are different styles of learners and different styles of teaching and both are needed to be taken into consideration when properly and effectively engaging the students in the online classrooms!
