Meeting time management is a difficult thing at many times, especially when you are a new employee and new to the position. Effective time management includes a large amount of organization, prioritizing, and understanding which goals are more important than others. This course was well equipped to help with the understanding, organization, and planning techniques that are needed for effective time management.
Meeting management can be quite difficult at times, especially when big decisions have to be made. I liked how the course was structured to discuss ways that you can address difficult situations in meetings. However, the hardest part is the timing. It can be quite difficult to know in advance how long some items will take and to stick to a pre-determined meeting timeframe, especially if many issues need addressed.
The success of our students’ employment is influenced by many structural barriers; however the school should begin modeling behaviors and addressing skills needed to enter the work force beyond what is offer in the curriculum.
The botton line is that in any line of business certain things needs to be done. Leadership and management are key players in making things happen.
The Time Management Course helped me a lot to prioritize my daily work goals. I find it hard to juggle some of my responsibilities and have decided to use the skills to help me gain more control of my work day.
The Principal Story was effective in highlighting the leadership roles played not only in the Principals, but the teachers, the respective city's department of education, and even the parents.
The pacesetting leadership of the retired teacher proved to be unsuccessful in saving the weaker teacher. The situation may have called for a coersive strategy, but that may have broken her beyond repair. What happened to her?
It seemed the restructuring of the organization of the schools was implemented by a leader's vision. Long term effects were the focus, but the short term impact was heart felt.

As a preformer in a trade that caters to introverts, I decided to take the next step in my career and become an instructor. An introvert myself, I still find it difficult to execute the responsibilites inherrant to a leader and manager. After completing LS101, I found I could develop a better pathway in strengthening management and leadership skills. It will be a challenging and interesting development.
It's surprising what seeds the path to positive change!
Just finished ML113, my hope for this course was to gain some new insights for managing a team. I believe I gained a few new insights, but I would have liked to see more scenarios. The terminology was there and definitions were clear, however that doesn’t help me problem-solve with my team. For example the course had steps to resolve conflict, that’s great. Now give me different examples and how to respond to those examples. The quizzes had little scenarios, I would have liked to see that more throughout the course.
We all suffer through time management. There is NEVER enough time in the day to do everything. This course has helped me a lot in prioritizing my tasks and making a to do list. I found out I tend to get distracted a lot.
Today, only 4 in 10 U.S. adults possess a two- or four-year degree and approximately 3 million jobs go unfilled because employers can’t find people with the right skills. While the U.S. is falling in its proportion of college graduates relative to global competitors, the need for postsecondary education is rising for jobs in the 21st century global economy. If the U.S. is to close the widening skills gap, it will require more than increasing the number of graduates from existing career programs. Postsecondary institutions will also have to design new career programs to prepare students for emerging… >>>
I enjoyed this course. Learning about the different feedbacks was very helpful. How to receive them and deliver them was something I know I could use daily.

This course was very helpful! I'm going to use what I have learn to prepare for a crisis.
Strategy execution is a very interesting class that give us practical tools in order to plan strategies in a company or a school. One of the tools given was a SWOT matrix which I believe is very useful in strategic planning. A SWOT matrix helps you conduct and internal and external analysis of a company in order to identify key issues that need to be addressed. I am currently leading a Campus Effectiveness Plan at my institution an conducting a swot analysis was a very interesting exercise that gave as situational profile of our campus.
I really recommend this… >>>
