Think of blogs as self-published mini articles. Share your experiences and challenges. Share your successful and failed strategies. Share your proven techniques and best practices. As an experienced individual in higher education with several years in the industry compliance is critical to my success. Often agents try to walk the line and sometimes cross it as it relates to compliance; I have personally have had to let an employee go after several coaching sessions he was still not following the guidelines.
Have you ever had a similar experience and how did you handle it?
This training was very informative. I am new to the field so I really enjoyed obtaining such a great wealth of knowledge. Regulations are always changing so it's great to remain current so that you can do your job is the most effective way possible.
This was very informative and will help me assist my reps with any questions that may come up with interviews and student needs. As a coordinator it is good to know all the ends and outs of our processes. I am very satisfied with training.
I've been in this industry for 7 years now and while a lot has changed, much has stayed true to the original ideas. It was a pleasure revisiting the information to ensure we all stay on top of it!
Rumor: an unverified account or explanation of events circulating from person to person and pertaining to an object, event, or issue in public concern.
We all need to be mindful of the FACT that rumors may or MAY NOT be true, so using a rumor as fact would be dishonest.
This was a great training. It was very understanding and informative.
Sometimes you hear rumors about your competition, - that they are saying negative things about your school.
Even if that is the case, doesn't mean your school needs to follow in their footsteps.
Take the high road, stay positive, and be proud of the job you do. When you do that, I guarantee your enrollments will see that too. They don't want to hear why the shouldn't go to the other school, they want to hear why they should go to yours.
I have realized over the last few years, that not changing your instruction (classes that are taught), can sometimes be a burnout, without you realizing it.
It is a great thing to step back, and come with new ways to teach the required curriculum, but to turn - possible burnout - to a fun, optimistic experience for all.
Passion = happy self, happy employees and more importantly have customers.
It is important to brainstorm and share your experiences so others can continue to learn as well. Get to know about each department in your institution. keep updated on all procedures, rules and regulations or any changes, learn something every day. There is always room for knowledge and improvements
This trainning course for admissions have a lot of information. The links are really usefull to be up to date on compliance and regulations
I have been an Admission's Representative for quite some time, but am new to this university. The course was an excellent refresher and was very easy to use.
I thought the course was very thorough and the interface was easy-to-use and the information was extremely vital. I'm new to the educational field and have learned much more than I had hoped to in a relatively short space of time.
I've been doing Financial Aid for a very long time, and it's always good to get a refresher. What sets Concorde apart is how we conduct our business by doing the "right thing" days in and out.
It is so important to read all the fine print when it comes to comliance . . missing even the smallest thing can not only hurt the person but the institution!
This was a great refresher course, it was very informative and good reminders of what we can say or can’t say.
Friday, July 26th, 2013 marked the 23rd anniversary of the signing of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA has expanded opportunities for Americans with disabilities by reducing barriers, changing perceptions and increasing full participation in community life. I wanted to review two federal laws that protect students with disabilities from discrimination at the postsecondary level.
The first law is found in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (implemented in 1977). As it applies to higher education, the critical portion of Section 504 essentially says that if you are a school that receives any kind of federal… >>>
Dangerous Waters
Working for a Private, For-Profit, Career School in Ohio, we are pretty carefully schooled in what we can say, what we can't say, and what we MUST say. Still, through this course I've discovered that there are a number of areas of confusion out there: areas where we are doing certain things in the name of "compliance" that we don't fully understand, giving perhaps too little emphasis to some things, and too much emphasis to others. Anyone else encountering the same?
I really enjoyed how the learning modules were formatted. It helped me understand the information, while keeping the information organized in my mind. I think this course serves as a great reminder and helps each admissions advisor make sure they are complying with the rules and regulations.
I feel that this course for on-line was very informatative. My last school had a four week class training course. I enjoyed this training section and learned alot. This section allowed individuals to read at his oe her own pace and dislove the information. This was very helpful. Enjoyment for this training was a 10 plus.
